SMS Ticket

An SMS ticket is a service of Dopravní podnik města Pardubic a.s. (DPMP a.s.) and can be used on all means of public transport operated by DPMP a.s. The SMS ticket serves as an alternative to Pardubice Card or paper tickets. It is a new form of ticket payment.

Benefits of an SMS Ticket

An SMS ticket can be bought anytime and anywhere. Neither cash nor a ticket vending machine is needed. The only thing you need to purchase a ticket is your mobile device.

Basic Prerequisites for Use

To be able to buy an SMS ticket, the Premium SMS service must be active on your mobile device. You can buy an SMS ticket only using a SIM card from any Czech mobile operator (Telefónica 02, T-Mobile, Vodafone and U:fon). If the service is not active, the SMS Ticket Service will not work. The Premium SMS service can be enabled for any telephone number for FREE using your mobile operator's customer support line. No special applications need to be installed on your device and no settings need to be changed.

Data Protection

By ordering an SMS ticket product, I consent to Dopravní podnik města Pardubic a.s., with its registered office at Teplého 2141, 532 20 Pardubice, as administrator, or to a third party as processor, processing the provided personal data for the purpose of issuing a transport pass or potential settlement of a claim procedure. By ordering an SMS ticket, the passenger consents to the processing of personal data; the data can be deleted at any time at the registered office of the administrator. Data are retained for the necessary period and in accordance with Act No. 101/2000 Coll. on Protection of Personal Data, as amended, and other related laws relating to the protection of personal data.

Transport Inspection

When requested by the DPMP a. s. authorised person (ticket inspector), each passenger is obliged to display the SMS ticket on their mobile device for inspection and to enable verification of all the necessary data. In the event of a suspicion that an SMS ticket is invalid, the DPMP a. s. authorised person can verify its validity using an inspection SMS. If any passenger fails to enable proper inspection of an SMS ticket, he/she will be regarded as a passenger without a valid transport pass. During night hours after 8 p.m., when public transport vehicles are boarded using the front door only, inspection of an SMS ticket is carried out by the vehicle's driver, to whom the passenger is obliged to present a valid SMS ticket on their mobile device.

For SMS ticket services to work, Premium SMS services must be enabled on the passenger's mobile device. If the passenger does not have the services allowed with their operator, the SMS ticket service will not function well and in such a case the claim will not be accepted.

Claims

In other cases, a passenger may claim no or late delivery of an SMS ticket using an on-line claim form.
